Collection of General Information When Visiting Our Website
When you access our website, general information is automatically collected. This includes, for example, your web browser type, operating system, the domain name of your internet provider, and similar data (server log files). This information does not allow any conclusions about your person and is technically necessary to correctly deliver the content you requested. We evaluate this anonymous data statistically to improve our website and the underlying technology.

Registration on Our Website and Use of Personalized Services
If you register to use our personalized offers (exclusively for members), we collect personal data such as your name, first name, and email address. As a registered member, you gain access to content and services (e.g., invitations to training events, newsletters) that are only available to logged-in users.

The following data is publicly visible in our member list: name, first name, professional address, as well as professional telephone and fax numbers. These data may be shared with partner companies such as Hanff, Prophac, or others to send invitations to training sessions or to create a professional directory.

Logged-in members can also see their registered email address. You have the right at any time to view, correct, or delete your stored personal data, unless legal retention obligations prevent this. Please contact us using the contact details below for this purpose.

Newsletter
As a registered member of LAK, you will receive our newsletter at least once a year. For sending, we use the service CleverReach (CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Schafjückenweg 2, 26180 Rastede, Germany). The newsletter is sent only if you have explicitly given your consent (opt-in by ticking a checkbox during registration). You can revoke your consent at any time — for example, via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by contacting us. CleverReach uses your data exclusively for sending and statistical evaluation of the newsletter and does not share it with third parties.

Dog Handler License
When registering for the dog handler license, we collect personal data such as name, first name, address, phone number, and email address. These data are forwarded to the Veterinary Administration after the course is completed and then deleted from the LAK database. The Veterinary Administration uses the data to verify compliance with legal requirements for owners of potentially dangerous dogs.

Contact Form
When you contact us by email, we store the data you provide in order to process your request and for any follow-up questions.

Secure Payment Processing with Mollie
For paid training courses or orders in our internal online shop, we use the payment service provider Mollie B.V., Keizersgracht 126, 1015 CW Amsterdam, Netherlands.

When you initiate a payment, we transmit the necessary data (e.g., name, payment method, account or card details) to Mollie.

Processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (contract performance) and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and efficient payment process).

Mollie uses your data exclusively to process the payment and processes it according to its own privacy policy (available at https://www.mollie.com/privacy). No further transmission to third parties takes place.

Deletion and Blocking of Data
We observe the principles of data minimization and data economy. We only store your personal data as long as it is necessary for the purposes stated or as required by statutory retention periods. After the purpose ceases or these periods expire, and in case of non-payment of the annual fee, data are routinely blocked or deleted.

Cookies

Cookies help facilitate navigation and ensure correct display of the website. Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses. Without your consent, we do not link any personal data with cookie data or share them with third parties. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but please note that some website functions may no longer be fully available.

Your Rights
You have the right to obtain information about your personal data stored with us at any time. You may also request correction, blocking, or deletion of such data, unless there are legal retention obligations. You can revoke your consent to data processing at any time with future effect. Please contact us using the contact details below.
